Tolls and vignettes
Autoroutes are tolled at cash or card barriers, cheap: Tanger to Marrakech about €20 for a van. The N-roads are free, slower and better.
Clean air zones
None.
Sleeping in the van
Campsites in every town, €5–10, often with a guardian. The Gendarmerie moves you on from beaches and town edges politely; the desert and the Atlas are relaxed. Guarded car parks (parking gardé) take vans for a few dirhams.
Kit you must carry
Warning triangle, hi-vis vest, fire extinguisher. Carry copies of the V5, the temporary import paper (D16 ter) and your insurance.
